Hey, it’s me, Kym

Permaculturist and community educator

My name is Kym, if you ask me, I call myself a permaculturist but if you’re not sure what that is, I also call myself a “Community Educator”.

I run food preserving workshops, help people grow food, own a plant nursery, run nature craft sessions with kids and play music too.

I’m basically that guy who has spent his whole life doing sidequests and I’ve turned it into my career.

I have a strong DIY Folkpunk grassroots ethos and believe in helping individuals and local communities grow food, learn how to cook the food they’ve grown and have fun whilst we’re doing it. It’s my jam.

  • "Kym is the absolute guru!"

If you’re looking for an amazing experience, look no further—Kym is the absolute GURU! We had the pleasure of having him lead a workshop at The Farm-Clarendon, and let me tell you, he knocked it out of the park.

Kym is not just knowledgeable; he’s incredibly engaging and relatable. He encourages questions and is more than happy to share his wealth of knowledge with everyone, young and old alike. We’re already counting down the days until we can have him back! Seriously, book him up—because we can’t get enough of Kym!

Nomad Nursery

Community supported nursery in Carey Gully, South Australia

Nomad nursery is the plant-tastic collaboration between Jackson Bennett (Urbangrowboi) and myself. Together we grow seedlings, edible perennials, fruit trees and more. We use organic inputs and don’t spray our plants with herbicides, pesticides or other nasties. Find out more about where to find our plants and our seedling CSN box.

Permaculture in South Australia

Permaculture is a sustainable design approach that follows nature’s lead to create self-sufficient, regenerative systems for farming, gardening and even community living.

It’s all about going with the flow of nature, not against it, pushing practices like organic farming, water-saving, and boosting biodiversity to build resilient, low-impact setups that are designed for purpose.
